DefinitionsPersonal information means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not.3. Collection and Use of Personal Information3.1 Types of personal information collectedWAVE Report is used exclusively by teachers and school administrators. Students and parents/guardians do not register or access the platform directly.The information collected includes:
    • Teacher / staff data: name, email address, school affiliation, role.
    • Student data (entered by teachers): name, school affiliation, class enrolment details, and learning engagement / behavioural assessment data aligned with school-defined values.
    WAVE also collects limited information from suppliers and service providers where necessary for business operations.3.2 How we collect personal informationInformation is collected directly from schools (teachers/administrators) via the WAVE Report platform during normal use (enrolment data uploads, assessment entries, etc.). No information is collected directly from students or parents.3.3 How WAVE uses your personal informationWAVE uses personal information only for the primary purpose for which it was collected (to deliver the WAVE Report service) or for a related secondary purpose, or as required or authorised by law.3.4 Complete and accurate detailsIncomplete or inaccurate information may affect our ability to provide the service effectively.4. Disclosing Your Personal InformationWAVE does not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.The only third-party service provider that processes personal information on our behalf is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which provides hosting, storage, and networking services in the Sydney region of Australia.All disclosures to service providers are subject to strict contractual agreements that require them to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and only process data for the purposes we authorise.5. Data Storage, Quality and Security5.1 Data qualityWAVE takes reasonable steps to ensure personal information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.5.2 StorageAll personal information is stored within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in the Sydney region of Australia. No personal data is stored or processed outside Australia.5.3 Data securityWAVE uses industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit) and other security measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.5.4 Data retention and deletionWAVE retains personal information only for as long as it is needed to provide the service or as required by law. Schools or authorised users may request deletion of data at any time via the platform or by contacting us.6. Use of CookiesWAVE uses cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience. We also use Google Analytics (subject to its own privacy policy) to analyse platform usage.7. Links to Other SitesWAVE may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.8. Unsubscribing from WAVE CommunicationsYou can unsubscribe from any marketing or non-service communications at any time by contacting us.9.
